About the Avondale-Waterview Historical Society:

Incorporated in June 2002, we have published a book on Avondale Central called Heart of the Whau (2003) and continue to research the story of our suburbs. We publish the Avondale Historical Journal and our Society's newsletter every second month. Our meetings, open to all, are held at the Lions Hall, Avondale, first Saturday of every second month -- February, April, June, August, October and December.
